AHSEP Programs are popular and space is limited.
With Novice, Intermediate and Advanced Programs, and multiple session schedule options, AHSEP has something for every sailor!
AHSEP is THE summer junior sailing program for sailors of ALL levels. Scroll down for class/ program options.
Classes are offered in two-week segments for either morning (9am-noon) or afternoon (1pm-4pm) sessions. Within each session, sailors are instructed in groups based on skill level. All registrants will receive a limited edition AHSEP t-shirt and water-bottle as well as be eligible for other prizes and awards during each session.
PRIOR TO OPENING UP THE PROGRAM THIS SUMMER, AHSEP WILL HOST A VIDEO ORIENTATION MEETING THAT WILL GO OVER OUR PLAN TO ADDRESS THE SOCIAL DISTANCING AND PERSONAL PROTECTION GUIDELINES THAT WILL BE FOLLOWED. PARENTS WILL HAVE A CHANCE TO ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PROGRAM AS WELL. WE WILL SEND OUT A NOTICE WITH THE DATE(S) FOR THIS VIDEO ORIENTATION MEETING IN THE COMING WEEKS.
Summer 2020 Class/ Programs Schedules and Fees
Please note that AHSEP's traditional class/program schedule has been changed for 2020 as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic and the safety and health guidelines issues by the State of New Jersey. As a result, AHSEP's program will be starting later than usual with our first sessions now starting on July 6th (previously June 22nd). To avoid confusion, we have also change our session names from numbers (Session 1, Session 2, etc.) to letters (Session A, Session B, etc.). Finally, while at this time we are only offering registration for Sessions A-D, through the end of July, we are evaluating the feasibility of adding additional sessions at the end of summer. If and when those sessions are added, we will notify all sailors of this additional opportunity and open registrations for same.

Novice / Intermediate / Advanced - Session B, 1pm - 4pm
Weekdays, July 20 - July 31

AHSEP 2020 Sandy Hook Bay Thursday Night Dinghy Series (Open to 2020 AHSEP Advanced Students contingent on equipment availability)
The Atlantic Highlands Sailing Education Program (AHSEP) invites experienced sailors of all ages to come and enjoy the warm water and terrific evening sailing conditions in Sandy Hook Bay this Summer. This is not an instructor supervised event but rather a mid-week racing opportunity in which experienced AHSEP sailors can participate. The series will be sailed each Thursday from June 18, 2020 through August 6, 2020. We expect a good turnout of Lasers. Sailors of other classes such as the 420 or Opti should contact us before registering to confirm there is sufficient interest in a particular class. AHSEP will have some vessels available for our 2020 class registrants to use for this series based on a first-come first-served basis and only if pre-booked with AHSEP.
